Oregon has been my home for nearly 34 years. When I go to Washington, there won’t be a “D” or an “R” next to my name, but an “O” – Oregonian. Everything I’ve done has led to this campaign:
• My first job was in the office of my local Congressman, which gave me an appreciation for the importance of constituent service.
• After pursuing graduate study in economics and international relations at Columbia University, I worked for the San Francisco Symphony then spent over a decade as a technical writer in the mental health field.
• I was a small business owner for another decade, and
• In 2014, I helped create a company that offered onlineprofessional education throughout the US, writing and collaborating on classes on federal and state laws and regulations on tax preparation, insurance (including the ACA), the construction trades, real estate, banking, commerce, and (my specialty) business ethics.
I am a policy wonk, obsessed with details, nuts and bolts, how things work, why things work, and how to make them work better.
